Born in Chicago, Illinois (1968), raised in Portland, Oregon and currently a resident of Venice, California, Michael began playing the drums at the age of seven and has been performing professionally since the age of 14. He graduated from Portland State University, where he studied Music and Psychology and has been teaching for 22 years.
Michael has recorded and toured with a variety of major and independent artists, traveled with the circus, spent ten years in “the pit” and loves a tough shuffle!
